Expectations of completion of each level.  (Most of the students need multiple sessions prior to be promoted to next level.)

LEVELS

Level 1 - Guppies (No Goggles allowed)   

• Put face in water and blow bubbles
• Proper kicking on front and back
• Float on front and back with no support
• "Front arm pull" reaching and scooping
• Roll Over from front to back & vice versa

Level 2 - Seal (Goggles optional)

•  Front and back streamline push-off from wall
• Introduction to treading water
• Kicking on back using arms
• Kicking on front w/ board with side breathing
• Freestyle 25 yards  using pushoff, breathing, and straight kicking
• Jumping in with no support

Level 3 - Dolphin Junior (Goggles required)

• 25 yards freestyle w/ proper body position, strong kick, proper breathing
• 25 yards backstroke w/ proper body position and strong kick
• 10 yards underwater swimming
• 30 seconds treading water
• Breaststroke kick
• Butterfly kick
• Dive from kneeling and standing

Level 4 - Dolphin Senior (Goggles required, Swimmer's snorkel recommended)

• 50 yards freestyle with proper body position, kick, and breathing
• 50 yards backstroke with proper body position and kick
• 25 yards breaststroke w/ proper kick
• 25 yards butterfly with proper body postion and kick
• 15 yards underwater swimming
• 60 seconds treading water
• Freestyle and backstroke open turns
• standing and kneeling dives

Level 5 - Shark Jr. (Goggles and Swimmer's snorkel required, swim fins and paddles recommended)

• 50 yards freestyle w/ flip turn
• 50 yards backstroke w/ flip turn
• 5o yards breaststroke w/ proper head position and timing
• 50 yards butterfly with proper timing and breath pattern
• open backstroke and breaststroke turns
• 2 minutes treading water
• 100 yards IM

Level 6 - Shark Sr. (Goggles, Swimmer's snorkel, swim fins and paddles required)       

• 100 yards freestyle w/ proper start flip turns
• 100 yards backstroke w/ proper start and flip turns
• 50 yards breaststroke w/ proper turns and pullouts
• 50 yards butterfly w/ proper timing and turns
• 200 yards IM
• 3 minutes treading water w/ 1 minute w/ hand above water

Registration is all online. Please sign up your child on SignupGenius.  Please print, sign, the liability form and bring to the first practice along with your payment (cash or check).
