Collier County Special Olympics Country and Regional Summer Games

18 of us from Ave Maria volunteered at the Special Olympics Area Game at Golden Gate High School. The weather was beautiful and it was absolutely fantastic to see the athletes were so happy. Please click here for more pictures.3/19/2016
Another 15 of us went to the Regional game. There were 300 athletes from 5 different counties competing with the help of 150 volunteers. Athletes started with a Olympics style torch relay and ended with a united team 4x100 relays onthe track. Couple helicopters were flying and turning over the fields for all to watch. Well organized and a day full of fun. The next one will be the State game in Disney at Orlando.
